The Ranger SS-99VHP is a high-power 10-meter amateur mobile transceiver built for radio operators and long-haul drivers demanding raw performance and intuitive control. Delivering 200W PEP on AM and SSB, this unit punch through long distances effortlessly. Thermal management is driven by a heavy-duty Cool-Lock rear chassis paired with a built-in silent cooling fan, ensuring long-term hardware stability under intense transmission cycles.
Designed around classic tactile ergonomics, the SS-99VHP replaces complex digital menus with heavy-duty mechanical knobs for Volume, Squelch, Echo, and Talkback adjustments. The front panel features a 7-color touch-selectable background lighting system paired with a classic orange LED channel and frequency readout, alongside an oversized 4-function analog meter. Advanced features include an integrated Voice Changer (VC), +10KHz frequency shift, NB/ANL noise limiters, and an Auto-SWR monitoring system backed by a red warning LED to prevent output transistor failure caused by high SWR. The package includes the premium SRA-198NC noise-canceling microphone for uncompromised audio isolation.
